This is the name that people from Tolima gave to a ghost that habits the region near to the Magdalena River because of its terrifying crying and screaming according to the oral tradition.

Magdalena:
The name of a very important Colombian river that crosses the entire country.

Male chauvinist:
A man whose behavior and attitude toward women indicate a belief that they are innately inferior to men.

Illiterate:
To have little or no formal education.

Grieving:
To feel, show or express sadness or regret.
